When the Lincoln Farm Association began constructing a memorial at the site of Abraham Lincoln’s birthplace in Kentucky, George L. Christian composed this speech excoriating the former United States President.
Christian sold this published version of the speech to raise money for the Confederate Memorial Institute, then being built in Richmond.
